Founding Design Engineer
You own the public face of Channl: the graph visualization, the interactive demo, /feed, and this marketing site. Brand, motion, performance, and accessibility all land on your desk.
What you will own
- The product surface: graph visualization, signal cards, the interactive demo, and the customer feed.
- The marketing site and brand system. Component library, motion, typography, accessibility budget.
- Design reviews with engineering and the founding team. Polish is your call.
- Performance and Core Web Vitals on every public surface.
What we are looking for
- Five or more years of hybrid design and frontend work, with shipped public products to point at.
- Fluent in React and Next.js, plus Figma. You can prototype in code without a handoff.
- Strong opinions on visual hierarchy, motion, and information density.
- Comfort owning a surface end-to-end with no PM and no manager.
Nice to have
- Worked on data visualization or graph-heavy interfaces.
- Prior brand or design-system leadership at a startup.
- Comfort with WebGL, SVG animation, or Three.js.
